My Current Accomplishment In Agility Training

I have mastered the skill of jumping two poles and immediately going through a tunnel. I know how to do it, but I must admit that sometimes I would rather just play ball or watch for squirrels to chase and bark at.

Please check out my short video below showing my progress in agility. It is only 7 seconds, so watch carefully.

I did pretty well in my progress considering that I had not practiced for a few weeks, as my Master had laryngitis, and then I had an upset digestive system and had to go to the vet. Not sure if I had a bug or something I digested caused my digestive distress. My Master changed my food and gave me some medication, and I was fixed up and ready to practice again. I did really well.

My Master says I still need practice, as I sometimes do not want to cooperate. I think she thinks I forgot how to do them when I ignore her commands, but the truth is that I get distracted by things around me.

My next skill to learn is to weave poles. This looks a little challenging and will take time. My Master says she will buy the equipment, but she is on a budget, so I have a month before she purchases; therefore, I will start learning my new skill at a later date.

In the meantime, I will practice my pole jumping and tunnel, so I can get better and not be distracted by my surroundings. I will also practice with my Master, following her arm signals and weaving the cones we have for my pole jumping until my new pole-weaving equipment is delivered.

One step at a time, she says....we are in no rush.

Stay tuned for updates on my agility training...
