"Life as a Miniature Schnauzer"

From the moment I wake up until I close my eyes at night, I am on the go...go...go. 😇

If you want to have a miniature schnauzer in your life, you'd better be able to keep up. The good news is, if you want to stay fit and you're able to keep up, I am the right breed for you.

Let me tell you about my regular daily routine... 

The alarm goes off and I spring out of bed. I stretch and head to the door to go outside and smell the fresh air and sniff the fresh grass. I am low to the ground, so I usually get wet from the morning dew.

After walking around the yard, I come inside. My Master chases me around the house with a towel trying to dry my paws. This is a fun game. 

After the towel is put away, I go and snatch it. I do not think I am supposed to do this. Well, I will play with it until it is taken away. I like playing with towels. Tearing them up is a fun game, too. 

Socks are another fun toy I like to snatch out of the laundry basket and chew. Usually, these toys are taken away from me too. 

I then get my breakfast. I also can't take a moment just to eat, so I keep my ball near my bowl so I can get it as soon as I am done chowing. I sometimes play between each bite, but mostly I  keep the ball handy so I'm ready to play soon after my breakfast.

Throughout the day. I love playing with squeaky toys. Sometimes with more than one at a time. I often must entertain myself, but at times during the day, I get the ball thrown so I can fetch it. I would rather play with someone else. I do what I have to do if no one is available to play. My Master and I will also go outside during the day and see who can catch the ball the fastest. I always win, but it is fun seeing my Master chase the ball and try to get it before me. It's a game we play. We both get exercise. I'll tell you more about that another day. 

Every morning, I also have to wake Bunny the cat up from her slumber. She sleeps a lot. She is a lot older than me. She enjoys lying in the morning sun. I like to greet her whether she wants me to or not. We like each other and she is good at tolerating my energetic behavior when she just wants to lie in the sun. Who said dogs and cats can't get along?

As I said, she tolerates my energy quite well. She is a senior, so I have to be respectful. If not, she has no problem letting me know to back off.  We get along excellently for two different critters who often do not see eye to eye. See, cats and dogs can be friends. 💑

During my day, I go out and try to run with the big dogs. I chase them up and down the fence. They can't get to me, and I have fun tormenting them. I might be small, but I can take them 😃Luckily, we have a fence between us. We all get along well.

My day also includes a nap. I don't plan them, they just happen. A quick nap and then I am up and ready to play again. 😴

As I said, miniature schnauzers are not for those who just want to sit around all day. I have a lot of energy and I like to play. My bark is bigger than I am, so I still have a lot of social skills to learn. I am getting better. I am a fast learner. I am just a pup, so have patience. Until next time, have a good day.😊
